We identify THE ANIMAL CRUELTY. In Medellín there are more than 1500 animals waiting for a home; in some cases, they have been abandoned by their human families, or they have been rescued from abuse.

Some of its main causes are: Massive reproduction of animals, disrespect for animal life, people move out from their residences or simply leave the animal, culture (usually the people try the animals like an object).

One of its effects is animal neglect, another is animal malnutrition and the last one is the increase of street animal population and foundations bankruptcy.
